Fault Codes on a Wolf Dual Fuel Range Display
A code on a Wolf dual fuel display is the electric oven's control naming the check that failed: a sensor, the door lock, the fan, communication or power. Write it down exactly, then switch the range off at its breaker for 30 seconds and retest. If the code comes back, call Wolf Repair Kirkland, (425) 699-2400.

Normal
- PF on a legacy dual fuel after the power was off: Wolf's code for a power failure, or for an oven too hot for the mode chosen.
- A code that shows once, clears with the breaker reset and stays away.
Fault
- The same code is back after the breaker reset, or returns each time the oven heats.
- The oven switches itself off partway through a bake with a code on the display.
What the published codes point at
Wolf documents these for its legacy dual fuel ranges:
- 01: door lock or unlock switches not sensed within 60 seconds of the lock motor running.
- 02: the oven passed its over-temperature limit.
- 03 and 04: the RTD oven sensor reads open (03) or shorted (04).
- 07 and COMM ERR: the oven’s control electronics have lost communication.
- 09: the meat probe reads shorted; first check that it sits fully in its socket.
- COOL FAN: the cooling fan, or the switch proving it runs, reports a failure.

What we usually find in Rose Hill
Rose Hill’s newer, larger kitchens often hold a 36- or 48-inch dual fuel range in daily use. Most often the code follows a power interruption and the breaker reset settles it. Sometimes it is 03 or 04, and the sensor is the part. Rarely is it the control board, which we condemn only after the sensor, door lock and wiring test sound.

Can I clear a Wolf dual fuel code myself?
Try the reset Wolf gives for most of them: the range's breaker off for 30 seconds, then a retest. For PF, Wolf adds turning the oven selector bezel to a cooking mode and back to Off. A code that comes straight back is paused, not cleared. Wolf Repair Kirkland, (425) 699-2400, needs it exactly as shown.
